Discussing life experiences and how they help define happiness

NY Minute

I had a great girl’s weekend that was long overdue.  It’s been seven years, since our girl took the plunge and relocated to the Big Apple.  This weekend we were so “Sex and the City” and had an amazing time.  In our twenty’s friends collided!  I didn’t share the bond the girls had growing up.  But certainly, know the feeling and love for your best childhood friend, and the feeling holds true even as adults.

We talked about the many things our group has gone through and where we all have come.  In 2011, we traveled to Columbus and Jess had filled me in out how she had been feeling off; talking about her liver enzymes, swelling, and yellowish tent to her eyes.  Within a few days we were visiting her in the hospital.  I kept abreast of the severity of Jess’ condition through Sarah squared.  We all prayed for the best, because if there is anyone deserving of a of life, it’s our girl.  A light shined the day it was confirmed she was getting her second chance at life.  She held on by a thread and received a liver transplant.  Since Jessica’s light shines, as she is an advocate for organ donation, a great wife and mom!

You can’t take them with you – Give Thanks – and Give Life

Over the weekend, as we gasped at the view of New York City from the One World Observatory.  We measured each of us up against the “Sex and the City” characters.  I’m still giggling as we seriously discussed these characters in laughter and in-depth reasoning!  Ha, I’m a mix between Carrie and Samantha?!  I basically think that means I’m the crazy one 😊 I believe our smart beautiful Miranda takes on more of a mix of the characters, she certainly raises the bar! She is far far from boring as she proclaimed.    Jess holds the grace and class of the group, she is our Carrie taking on the city life with her strength and beauty.

“They say nothing last forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style”

What a great weekend, in a New York minute it ended.

‘Jess’ be awesome; cherish your connections and be an organ donor.

Your Carrie may need some help some day
