Who is this Saint Valentine, anyway? I read that American’s spend twenty billion dollars on Valentine’s day! Things add up, and there are so many cute things to buy! ‘Jess’ tell me what you think, is Valentine’s day overrated?
Love is this deep feeling, that I will fully admit I’m longing for, but becoming bitter with the “Happy Singles Awareness Day” just isn’t my style. Some people are so anti cupid, it’s a bit over the top. Set those bitter feelings aside my friends, because I don’t think Valentine’s day is overrated. I can appreciate people celebrating their love for one another. I love to see people posting Valentine wishes, and kids showing their Valentine’s boxes!
I read a post today, so simply put and perfect. Basically, expressing that love is ‘exciting, uplifting, and hopeful’. Which is so true! Love can be heartbreaking, but it leads to an appreciation for a true love. Whether you have a significant other to love on, you have others that love you, and most importantly you should love yourself.
I don’t have a notion to dig deep into love and loving yourself (future post, stay tuned). More so just wanted to express the importance of celebrating love and showing it. I do believe actions speak louder than words, don’t over use love verbally but show it. Find the balance and spread it. I believe that we should celebrate our love outside of the hoopla of Valentine’s Day, it’s not only a one-day event in my book. Remind people they are loved and remind them of the importance to love themselves.
Cupid missed yet again this year, but loving my peeps is pretty great and knowing they love me!
To my future forever Valentine, I’ll take one rose over an abundance, and would rather you hand make me a card than buy one. Thanks in advance.
