About seven and a half years ago this little thing popped into my life and the rest is history. At the time, I was not interested in having a pet, nor would I have tagged myself as a dog person. Quite honestly, I was pissed as all get out when she was brought home. It didn’t take long for her to win a piece of my heart. Let’s just say, I was granted full custody with no visitations.
So now my friends, Macy and I are a packaged deal!
Macy has changed my world; she is my side kick who manages to lift my spirits every day! Have you ever had someone so excited to see you when you get home? I don’t think it’s possible for a human to show so much excitement, we are too selfish 😊
There is this unspoken love between Macy and me. We have struggled through some times together, but together we seem to come out on top. It’s just crazy, she has this bubbly personality. I don’t know, maybe I’m giving myself too much credit, but she may get it from me. I will not sugar coat anything, we could up our game with better obedience, and exercise. But in our world, we are doing just fine! We live for today, I find no fault in giving a few extra treats and toys. I’m on point with my baby/doggie talk. And I dread the future without her.
I am blessed with her furry little soul; she loves me many times when I’m not loving myself. This connection of ours is unmeasurable. They say a dog is a man’s best friend. That is great, but I think Macy and I may be redefining that?! She takes on a lot; my best friend along with my therapist, my cheerleader, my sous chef, and my fur-babe ... my everything really she’s my Macy girl.
